Realplayer 10 Gold sound quality

Is the sound choppy?  Do you have a soundcard that can do hardware mixing?

I have one of those AC97 soundcards that do not mix sound by itself. 
That's why I set up dmix in alsa.  I had to make realplayer use aoss
in order to make it go through alsa and not through oss so I can hear
other sounds.  After doing that, the sound was choppy (I was hearing
at chunks).  The problem was the buffer_size property that was too
low.  I changed that to "buffer_size 8192" and it works like a charm
now.
