Not listening mp3 in totem

Well, since You can hear mp3 file through Rythmbox, your sound card is
datacted and drivers are working.  Yu probably should mess a little
with mixer (alsamixer), also try to look in options in the applications
that aren`t working now and try to change input plugin (You probably use
alsa sound system , so choose alsa, maybe You have oss selected). Let me
know about the progress BTW - is xmms working correctly ??
