An interesting program for collaborators.

Thank you all, 
I checked out all the programs that are suggested. As far as I can see 
non of them have what I need which is latex support during chat. I know
that I can use kopete but that makes things more complicated because my
collaborators don't use Linux yet. 
I hope I am not asking for too much. It is much easier and safe for me
to install the program from repositories. How can I ask for it to be
added to the repositories? Am I supposed to e-mail on a different list
or something else. thanks.
