Default root user password

On a default Breezy install that would be System->Administration->Login
Screen Setup. Then the security tab.
But please *please* don't do it until you have read

It is genuinely the case that a default install of Ubuntu can be
configured and operated using sudo rather than root. (The exceptions to
this are head-spinningly complex requirements.)
Enable root if you really want to, but *please try* the default setup of
sudo for users (such as the first created) who are privileged to use it.
All the gui administration tools are set up to use it too...
