Print to PDF

First of all, this functionality is very important to me, since I use
PDFs to archive web pages that are receipts for online transactions --
banking, etc. When working in Windows I use CutePDF for this, a free
program that works great. There are others too. With Linux, until
recently I used KDE, which has a PDF print driver in its print utility.
Not including this with Ubuntu (Gnome) is a huge oversight, IMO.

When I use ps2pdf I get a PDF with no text. Very unhelpful!

The PS viewer (evince) has "Create a PDF document" in its print dialog,
but when I go through with it, I get the error message "generating PDF
not supported"

I'll mess around with some other stuff, but in the meantime... any
ideas?

Any ideas?
