Can't get Nautilis spatial mode to work on a clean Breezy install

I should have mentioned that I had done that. On my Dell in which
spatial mode works, checking 'no_ubuntu_spatial' leaves the previous
window open when you click on a directory to open it -- I believe this
is standard gnome behavior as opposed to the Ubuntu-style which closes
the previous window. In any event, whether I check or uncheck
'no_ubuntu_spatial' on the clean install T30, nothing changes and I am
still in browse mode. Although it wasn't the problem, thanks for
offering a suggestion.
