I got the full Ubuntu install, with Gnome etc, working - albeit slowly -
on a Pentium233 with 64mb RAM (since upgraded to 128mb).
Are you trying to install the full Ubuntu, or the server install
(without a desktop)?
You might want to try Xubuntu (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Xubuntu) if you
want X.org and a desktop: XFCE in place of Gnome.
