The URL given goes nowhere - not surprising since it doesn't refer to anything real ;-)  404 not found...

Also,  this doesn't make any sense at all, since if there was an official bug fix it would get pulled in by an apt-get upgrade...

So I think either someone has their facts confused, or is pulling our collective leg.
