Oliver, thank you. This was the information I needed. I added the
following lines to /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/lts.conf:
X_HORZSYNC = 30.0-86.0
X_VERTREFRESH = 50.0-150.0
(The monitor is a Nokia 447ZAPlus.)
and made sure that the server specified in
/opt/ltsp/i386/etc/X11/xorg.conf was "tdfx". I also dropped all
references to 24 bit mode, and made the highest resolution 1024x768.
That allowed me to bring the thin client up at 1024x768, 16bpp.
Thanks again. This is going to save me a LOT of time re-installing a
dozen PCs over and over and over again in a training room.
