LT Modems

(This is Lewis posting on the forums as I do not have the reference
mailing list handy to reply)

PPP is crapping out with a signal 15. Just for giggles I went and
recompiled the modules again and noticed something significant... there
is an error message about a .ltmdmobj.(something) missing. Evidentally
the module is defective. I tried with both GCC 4.0 and 3.4 and get the
same thing. I'll try GCC 3.3 and see if that fixes the issue. The
funny thing is that I used the exact same source code with PCLinuxOS
which uses 2.6.12 but is compiled with GCC 3.3.1 and it works like a
champ.

I wonder if the higher ups will ever include a properly compiled Breezy
module in Restricted again. I feel that if they can do video drivers
(Nvidia and ATI), LT modems should be a breeze.
