Pressing Alt+F3, I get the console with lines beginning with Selecting 
and Unpacking. At the end bottom of the screen are the following lines.

Selecting previously deselected package discover1.
Unpacking discover1 (from .../discover1_1.6.1ubuntu6_i386.deb) ...
Segmentation fault
mv: unable to rename '/target/usr/sbin/sendmail': No such file or directory
