Yep. With GTK+ 2.8 and GNOME 2.12, we've just hit the first integration step
for Cairo. By GNOME 2.14, we should have a fully Cairo rendered version of
the Clearlooks theme [1] and vastly improved performance between X and Cairo
in general. What we have now gives us a good platform to really optimise and
beautify the desktop. :-)
