Totem plugin in Firefox not working.

Hi,
so far I followed the discussions about Totem and I installed totem
xine. But despite the fact that the package is installed I still need to
download the files (wmv, asf..) before I am able to play them. The plug
in mostly fails to work properly. What's the solution so that you can
play them embedded? The win32codecs package also not exist any more in
the repository.
