"All Applications" menu for Gnome

add a backports repository and install smeg (simple menu editor for 
gnome). It shows up under Applications > System Tools.

There you'll see that a 'Debian' menu entry is there but hidden, you can 
then add your own 'all applications' or use the existing 'other'

PS. Remember to comment out the backports repository afterwards
