Yeah, I think it's too bad when people respond to even the most
constructive criticism of shipit with "Stop complaining, its free!".
My feelings on that are 1, nothing's free. Somebody's spending good
money on the shipit program, it's just happens to not be us. 2, the
shipit program has a purpose, primarily one of advocacy. If the
program isn't functioning properly, and folks are getting their CDs in
an unusable condition, or too late to be relevant (e.g., just before
the next release) then that purpose isn't being fulfilled. I really
wish there were a marketing mailing list to provide feedback for these
and other, similar issues.
