Hi!
My friend just brought in his Toshiba Satellite M50-MX2, and we put in
the Flight 5 CD (not got 6 yet ;)).
Now everything is fine, the ethernet cards got detected (wired and the
atheros wireless), , except that the x server doesnt show up after
install. I see lot of noise, with a huge 'box' that moves with the
touchpad.
So I got into one of the terminals, and hit upgrade. It's running
right now (and with the kind of speed we got here in college, things
aren't looking up).
There's an ATI Mobility Radeon (I'm not sure of the model yet, as he
doesnt remember, but I can get it by tomorrow).
am attaching:
output from lspci -v
output from lspci -nv
xorg.conf
Does the ATI give trouble of any sort? What should we do to get it up
and running?
