Help! : Ubuntu CD installation on dell E510

first thanks for the answer, working for all day (I am very new).
it scans cd
loading additional componentents
then error: load installer components from CD
"there was a problem reading data from cd-rom. please meake sure it is
in the drive, you should check integrity of cd rom"

But I used the same cd to install on a laptop now, and it works. THis
new compuer is a dvd drive, because of this?
