Using Wifi Radar On the Road

Greetings,
I followed the Ubuntu Wifi docs on getting my Linksys wireless NIC working
on my laptop. I can successfully connect to the LAN in my lab, and to an
open wireless network at another building. I installed Wifi Radar so I
wouldn't have to configure my NIC manually every time I move from location
to the other (daily). The problem is that, while Wifi Radar automagically
recognizes my lab LAN (as well as another), it will not obtain an IP
address from the lan at the other building. I know they don't broadcast,
but I can configure the card manually.
I am using the following settings at the problem site:
Network Name: Guest (Capital G)
Mode: managed
Channel: auto (alternatively - 11)
Key:
Security: Open
No WPA
DHCP
Connection Commands
Any help is greatly appreciated.
