[Dapper] Can't replace the Ubuntu logo (Gnome panel) ??

It's probably the new icon cache thing.

You'll need to run 

gtk-icon-cache-update /usr/share/icons/hicolor 

if you replace any of the files in there. Also, you'll probably want to
run dpkg-divert if you want to replace any of the files provided by
ubuntu packages.
