Windows Share

OK, I have been trying to get the Windows and Linux machines to talk on
my home network. Here are the clues:

1. On the Ubuntu Machine: When smbclient is running alone, I can click
on "Places", "Network Servers" and am able to see all workgroups and
computer shares. However, on the Windows machines, the Ubuntu machine is
not visible.

2. When I install Samba, the Ubuntu machine begins requesting a user
name and password. I have tried every user name and password combo that
is present on any of the machines. None work. On the windows machines,
Ubuntu becomes visible, but asks for a user name and password. Same
result as above.

Basically, I want the Ubuntu machine and its printer visible and
available for the Windows XP machines. I have been trying to use Webmin,
but just can't figure it out. Any suggestions?

Roy
