Ruby Gems install - PLSE help

> before running ./configure for ruby



I tried that, did ./configure; make; make install; again and it still
couldn't seem to find zlib.



I tried doing make clean; then rebuilding/reinstalling.

Still no luck. 



Finally, I had to remove the ruby-1.8.4 directory entirely, re-extract
the source tar, and rebuild. That finally worked.
