Root password???

Hi Glen. I'm not trying to be sarcastic, or to twist ,your words (what would
be the point of that? everyone can see in the archive who said what anyway).
I'm trying to clarify the way this all works.

If I've been a bit forceful in my posts, it's because you seemed to
point blank refuse to accept you might be wrong about this.
The first post from you about this said:

 "The root password is set by Ubuntu when it is first installed."

and then later:

   "This time put in your new root password"

and i tried to correct you on it.Then you replied saying

  "You're saying there is no root password, and that is not the case."

and I called you again. I'm sorry if that's upset you, but nothing here
is intended to anger or belittle you. It's just a question of misleading
people.

I'm glad you think the wiki update clarified things, let's leave it at that.
