[Dapper] mc exits with segmentation fault

Hi everyone
    Today i updated to Dapper. Everything went fine and after installed 
kde my system is up and running.
But now i have an issue with mc and mcedit. Every time i try to run them 
i get a "Segmentation fault" and back to prompt.
Doesn't matter if i try to run them from pure console or in a virtual 
terminal. The output is always the same. I don't know if
it is revelant but i also run prelink.

My solution was to download and compile myself mc from 
http://www.ibiblio.org/mc/ but i don't think that is the proper
way to do things in Ubuntu. Does anyone know how to fix this?
