[newbie] Breezy =>Dapper upgrade follow-up issue: PCMCIA server failed?

hello,

follow up to my earlier dapper upgrade question...

the re-boot screen listed one ominous, RED, 'failed' in an otherwise 
quotidian list of ubuntu-brown 'ok's: PCMCIA server.

google supplies mostly more options for pursuing red herrings down 
rabbit holes. apart from the 'failed,' things seem okay, 
dapperly-speaking. but, ... hints, explanations, suggestions, 
directions, further warnings to do with the consequences of PCMCIA's 
failing greatly appreciated.
