It's aimed to be the best software the free-libre software world can
make. It is a venture by Canonical aimed at proving that the
free-libre open-source business model of providing services can be
viable (make money.) In that sense,
1. it's good software.
2. it's free (as in no cost)
3. it's free-libre (as in software freedom - the software is not
property and will remain free)
4. it is very community-oriented and it has a considerable community
behind it, which will in turn make it better and attract more people.
The snowball effect: Zoom!
