In a way yes - as a website developer commited to web standards, it
doesnt matter what html/text editor and graphics program i use, but it
does matter that the operating system I use is not prone to virus's and
crashes, is cheap(free) to buy, and is also easy to install and work
with. I have 2 machines running ubuntu - 1 as a desktop with all the
tools I need to do my work, the other as a server which i use to test
my work before making it live on the web.
As there are a lot of windows users out there, I have to have an ME box
to test my designs in IE (emulators are not suitable due to differences
in linux and windows display drivers).
When it comes to playing games - I use a console(linux compatible)
attached to my tv
