Partitioning question

This is a test PC, no important data on it.  I'm now learning Ubuntu.

Sorry I don't follow.  IIRC I used manually partitioning HD at time of
installation.  Actually I want to create LV and install Ubuntu on it. 
But I can't natvigate it.

I'm prepared to have another round installing Ubuntu again after
clarifying some points.  Otherwise I'll make the same mistake again.
