Your problem had happened to me, you can see in nautilus if you had
read, write permissions on the GPG directory under you home directory,
checks this. it's only a tip, that worked for me. When I had tried
create or modify it had just give me out errors without any clue of what
could be then I had looking for the permissions of the directory and the
files inside and they had only permissions set to root because I had
installed software that had put the directory and inside files into root
owner only this. It's only a *hint* I've got.
