I'm one of those in the "did not reboot" part. ;)  I did get a new 
update for the problem today... problem solved.

I also really don't understand all of the complaints about this problem. 
Shit happens  sometimes.  I used to run debian unstable and it was 
actually more solid than debian testing. In other words, it was a big 
oops, but it was fixed asap. (actually within 24hrs, try that with MS)
