Hibernate broken

What's the problem?  A description would help.

If it actually appears to hibernate, but halts without messages at boot
time, remove the "splash" option from the boot parameters.

usplash seems to have broken for me recently.  I don't get the splash image
I should - and it breaks hibernate anyway.
