Five button mouse from Belkin, not all buttons working as desired.

Hi.

I've got this mouse (sorry I don't know the exact name) which you can

The left, right and middle buttons work and the scroll wheel too. The
buttons on the far left and right side of the mouse don't seem to do
anything. Under M$ they operate in internet and file browsers and
emulate the BACK and FORWARD buttons.

This is the behaviour I'd also greater appreciate under Ubuntu (6.06).
As always your time, help and advice is greatly appreciated.
