borderless printing

I have recently set up a new box and loaded the latest version of
Dapper. I am now not able to print borderless prints correctly. I use
Gimp, Turboprint and an Epson Stylus Photo R300. I can only guess that
the problem could be with Gimp, which I think is a different version to
that on the original Dapper or with CUPS, which I understand is not the
latest version. Has anyone any suggestions please on how to determine
what is wrong?
