Not sure if this applies to the dv6105us, but on the dv9005us, I needed
to add the "noapic" option to the kernel boot line. I have not gotten
the 64 bit version working properly on it, yet. I am not certain I'll
be able to, as the machine is not mine, and I'll lose access to it in
another week.

The wireless card in the 9005 is a Broadcom 4311. I needed to use
ndiswrapper to get it working. I ended up using the latest ndiswrapper,
but I'm not certain it was necessary to do so. I don't remember what I
was doing wrong, but I finally managed to do it right when I compiled
the latest version. It was not something that changed between versions,
it was a step I missed, so the older one might work if used correctly.

Also, the video card is a Geforce Go 6150. I needed to use the latest
driver from the nvidia website to get it to operate properly. The vesa
driver was really slow, and used the wrong resolution. The nv driver
could be persuaded to get the right resolution, but the colors showed
visible banding. The nvidia driver bundled with edgy didn't work with
the card, thus compiling the latest was the only way to go. If you have
this issue, let me know, and I'll dig up the web site that I used for
the nvidia stuff. I believe that it was in the wiki.
