Roby's response is pretty much right on - there's little significant
difference.  It's a different graphical environment, with different
default applications and such, but accomplishing the same purpose.
Most will say that it is basically a matter of preference.  I
recommend checking out the screenshots at osdir.com, or even better,
trying both on Live CDs, and just deciding which you like the feel of
better.
