Printing question

I don't know the answer to this, but I notice printing from gimp started
the trouble. I had the same behaviour, until I removed "-oraw" from the
gimp's default prnting command.

The only way I could stop the flood of paper pouring through my old HP
LaserJet 6L was to unplug it and run "cancel", if I remember correctly.

I still get one row of 
1111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

across any image I try to print, which is annoying. I have no cure for
that complaint yet.
