Hi;

I got Kubuntu installed on my zd8000 laptop, but things aren't going  
well. No X, just at TTY1 login prompt, and the strange message:

[xxxxxxxx.yyyyyyyy] Incompatable medium installed -- (asc=0x30,  
ascq=0x00)
[xxxxxxxx.yyyyyyyy] The failed "Read Cd/Dvd Capacity" packet command  
was:

being repeated over and over. It never actually says what the  
mysterious failed command was.
