Saving APT/DPKG Data

Every package downloaded is kept in /var/cache/apt/archives/. burn all 
of those to a dvd or something, and then do whatever you want. However, 
I hope you know that breezy is completely stable, and better than hoary 
in my opinion. You shouldn't have a problem.
