we have a "no open ports to the outside world by default" policy in
ubuntu, since portmap was in the default install in warty and hoary, the
way to secure it was to make it listen to localhost only. in breezy
portmap wasnt in the default install anymore and thus could drop that
setting...
thats why you see different default settings in the different ubuntu
versions.
