Hi everyone!
I don't understand why the WEP encryption does not
work under ubuntu, on my 2 wireless adapters. The
first is driven by ndiswrapper (netgeat ma5211, on a
laptop); The other one is a noname, recognized as a
prism54, PCI.
Both work perfectly in a non secured network.
When I input the wepkey, the router does not give any
IP address, in brief, does not recognise the
encryption. My modem is a linksys WAG54G.
Ive tried also inserting dashes between each 4 digits,
unsuccessfully (key nr 2, hex). Ive tried gtkwifi that
does not work neither (DHCP failed).
By the way, why does the wlan manager does not propose
to input the key number ?
argh.!!! I don't understand !
Seb
