If spcacat supported auto-brightness, I'd be really happy.
As it is right now, I have an el-cheapo Quickcam (came in a box of 2
identical cameras for $20 on clearance) that's supported by the spca5xx
drivers. spcacat takes a picture just fine, but it's usually way too
bright, since my camera's near a window.
As it is, I use spcaview to grab an avi file, then grab an image out of
it (after about ten seconds of auto-brightness adjusting the image),
then use that as the webcam image. Not the most elegant solution, but
it works.
