volume level is weak in Rythymbox

hi,
my knowledge is rather limited to the problem why audio applications
interact differently with the hardware, but in most cases you just need
to adjust the pcm-level to get the volume up again.
go to synaptic and install 'gnome-alsamixer'. after that, you can access
it through multimedia/entertainment or whatever this menu entry is
called in english.
