My hardware..
AMD64 3000 2Gb RAM
Nforce 3 Motherboard (GA-K8NS Ultra-939)
I have installed Ubuntu Breezy (the 386 version) and all went well, I
can use everything fine when I go to the desktop straight from finishing
the installer.
The problem I have is after my first reboot, I can no longer log in,
either from gdm or from a terminal.
Checking the syslog I find :-

Booting recovery works ok, Using the liveCD works ok.
I have tried booting with various combinations of noapic nolapic etc,
also I have tried installing, updating and then restarting with the
newer kernel, but still the same problem.
Does anyone have any ideas what is causing my problem? And what is the
pdflush thing? I have tried googling for that but can't find anything
that makes sense to my linux newbie brain :)
Please help, I feel I'm so close to having things work.
