burners - linux compatible or with linux drivers

Hi all,

Two inexpensive internal CD burners with DVD ROM have failed. Wal-Mart has a
Sony model for about $90.00. Is any one familiar with it and is it OK for
Ubuntu Breezy 5.10?

Sorry, but I didn't copy the model numbers. They probably sell same thing at
all their stores.

I'm using DVD only for data -- DVD write or rewrite would be nice, but is
not necessary.
