xvnc4viewer

Hello people,

I'm new to the list, but I've previously worked with the UserLinux
community.

I noticed something worth mentioning before Dapper Drake comes out:
xnvc4viewer is not the default VNC viewer for the distribution (it's in
Universe), but the old vncviewer (3.3.7).

I must say a couple of things about the old viewer:

* It doesn't properly switch to fullscreen using the F8 key.
* The F8 menu only works with the mouse.
* It's slower.

The servers are both in Universe, so it's mostly not a problem.

I ran into problems when I tried to get it working through xinetd.
That's when I noticed that I was using vncviewer version 3.3.7 and not a
4.x version. That's also when I noticed that the new packages were
available as xvnc4viewer and vnc4server. It was a little
counter-intuitive to have older versions of this packages in Ubuntu. It
seemed to me for a moment like I was using plain Debian Stable.

Is there any technical argument for not dumping old RealVNC 3.3.7
packages (or sending them to exile [Universe]) in favor of new version
4.0 packages? (at least for the xvncviewer package), that of course for
Dapper Drake.

Thanks very much.
