Printer queue pausing

I'm using turboprint to drive a Canon Pixma IP 5000 printer. One of the
issues I have is that if the printer runs out of paper, or is switched
off, then the queue pauses and I have to login and resume the queue.
This causes a problem when other members of my family are remotely
printing to this printer. I'd like to find a way for the queue to resume
automatically, once paper has been added, or the printer switched on.
Any ideas anybody?

Regards,
Tony.
