A long time ago, shortly after I first installed Ubuntu (I'm a former
Debian user), I right clicked on a directory and started an application.
Gnome was kind enough to remember what application I had started and added
it to the right click menu. Unfortunately Gnome (or Nautilus, I guess)
had a bug where it forgot that it had already added this application to
the shortcut menu and repeated this process a few times. Now when I right
click on a directory the identical menu item is displayed multiple times.
Whatever caused the problem seems to have been fixed, or at least is no
longer a problem, but I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of the
redundant menus. Yesterday I tried grepping my entire home directory for
the offending menu item without success.
Does anyone know where this kind of information is stored so I can reach
in and hand edit it?
Thanks.
