Tim,

That wiki page is exactly what I was looking for. After reading about
this complex process, I feel more inclined to simply provide a "How To"
and/or a BASH script to setup a DNS/DHCP server on a default Ubuntu
system.

I should point out that there is a nice script at the bottom of that
wiki page, which would make the process much easier. However, it
appears that the process only changes which packages are installed, and
it doesn't allow other types of customization (unless I wanted to create
new packages).

Not as yet - with luck there'll be some on the wiki soon.

I'm afraid that is found nowhere in my Breezy installation. I've checked the
menus and system settings and found nothing. I hope this doesn't mean I'll
need to reinstall... Already had to do that to fix a different omission.
Can't tell I'm pretty new to Breezy, can you. :-\

Hi,
go to the "System" menu, down to "Preferences" and down to "Removable
Drives and Media"

You should have a list "Removable Storage" at least my Breezy does.
Hope this helps.
Take Care

I just updated today, as I do everyday, and notice that now, when I
click a web link in an e-mail, nothing happens ! :-/

Can others confirm this, or is it just me ?

Subject: PS/2 Mouse not detected on Compaq Presario 1800T
To: ubuntu-users at lists.ubuntu.com
Message-ID:

Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

This is my very first time using Linux, and Ubuntu is fantastic! I can't
believe how easy it is.

Well, except for getting my mouse to work.

I have a touchpad built into this Compaq Presario 1800T, and that works just
fine. However, when I plug in my PS/2 mouse (just a plain old 2 button
generic one, nothing special), and turn on the computer, the mouse refuses
to work. The touchpad continues to work wonderfully, but no go with the
normal mouse.

I tried connecting the mouse to another machine, and it works great. I used
this very mouse back when I had Win2K installed (about four hours ago), and
it worked perfectly well on this Compaq. So I know it's not the port, and I
know it's not the mouse.

Google searches yeilded lots of info on getting serial mice to work, but
everyone seems to just have their PS/2 mice work right off the bat, no
special setup required.

Can anyone suggest anything regarding how to get this, my one and only
glitch with Ubuntu, fixed?

Thanks!
