I for one would be quite disappointed to see the desktop-less
installation option disappear. I love the fact that I can just install
what I need and not have lots of extra megabytes taken up by a desktop
environment I'm never going to use. If you know how to configure an ldap
installation, having to type 'sudo apt-get install gnome-desktop' is not
going to make a difference.

If Ubuntu didn't have a gui-less server install, I'd probably go back to
Debian for my servers.
