Can't mount my SATA drive

If you can see the sata controller in the bios but not the drive, then
ensure that the motherboard bios has sata enabled.  Also go into the
sata controller bios and make sure it is enabled there.

Are you using an onboard controller?  If not, which one do you have?
And which motherboard?
