I looked at the wiki instructions (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/XglHowto) to
set up Xgl and compiz
It says that there is a separate compiz package for gnome and KDE.
For gnome, we should install "compiz-gnome".
Problem: this package doesn't seem to exist, all there is is a single
"compiz" package. I installed it anyway, but all I get is a 100% black
screen, with a 100% white "cube". I can rotate it though, and can also
use "alt-tab", which works. It's just that it's all black and white, it
doesn't show the Gnome desktop at all, zero content, I am all in the
dark !! ;-)
Still, I was quite excited...
